A 66-year-old Winnipeg woman has been found alive and well after spending almost two full days alone and lost in a dense Manitoba forest. RCMP spokesman Const. Miles Hiebert said a search party found Nadia Monaco in Belair Provincial Forest on Friday about 8 a.m.

Lac du Bonnet's arena is getting a facelift. Work began this week to give the building some major upgrades including installing a subfloor, lining the ceiling with a special liner to prevent condensation (being installed by local contractor Troy Simcoe), and painting as well.
